Breath Quality: The 4 Essentials

What are the 4 essentials we cannot leave home without, be without in the car or in the office or be without on a date? 1. Keys 2. Wallet 3. Phone 4. Gums, mints, and other breath fresheners This is how important and integral our breath quality is to the quality of our daily lives.  Unfortunately up to now in reference to #4 our only option was to use breath fresheners such as gums and mints and mouthwash to cover up our bad breath.  Well now we can all experience what not having bad breath versus […]

Bad Breath is like Body Odor

Many patients who visit our clinic are under the misimpression that there is something terribly wrong with them.  Many times the problem is not the person concerned with halitosis but the way the industry has been dealing with removing and reducing bad breath. Bad breath just like body odor is caused by bacteria.  This is why there can never be a cure for bad breath.  The day that we can cure body odor where we do not need to take shower anymore, would be the day we can cure bad breath.  Just like the body, the mouth which is the […]

Bad Breath Institute mention on Classic105.com

We all suffer a bit of bad breath or halitosis from time to time. The Bad Breath Institute in the US says that 99 per cent of us suffer from the condition when we wake up. This is because, during the night, we don’t produce the necessary saliva to wash away the bad bacteria that causes bad breath.

Bad Breath Institute mentioned by MetroUK

So you have bad breath. Here’s what to do about your hellish halitosis Bad breath is the ultimate mood killer. It can ruin a first date in less than a second, but it can plague sufferers for years. When someone says to you, ‘Got a mint?’, it can mean one of two things. One: perhaps they just fancy a mint, or two (and far more likely): they think you need one yourself because of your stinky breath. We all suffer a bit of bad breath – or halitosis – from time to time. The Bad Breath Institute […]

The Airigation® treatment works before and after (preventive) spciy food

Our patients are happily reporting that the Airigation® treatment is not only effective after eating spicy and garlic food but also very effective as a preventive treatment before consuming such food.  Therefore it has proven very effective to get an Airigation® treatment before a hot and spicy dinner/date as the treatment effectively battles embarrassingly strong odor containing food. We are continuously getting updates from our patients that the Airigation® treatment is increasing their social self-confidence as well as magnifies the effects of breath fresheners used after spicy food consumption. As evidenced in some of our testimonials, […]

Updating our patients and consumers

First of all I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and remarks regarding our treatments and our approach.  I understand many cannot travel to come to Los Angeles for treatments and would like to see a Bad Breath Institute® location in their neck of the woods.   I am also very aware of interested consumers asking us about Bad Breath Institute® labeled and supported products for personal and home care in dealing with halitosis. I can excitedly update all interested parties that I am very actively examining all options to make our proprietary and brand […]

Bad breath is personal

Bad breath is personal, especially when it is everyday bad breath and non-chronic halitosis.  Bad breath to the person concerned and affected is simply; bad breath.   There is no right or wrong level of bad breath.  It is similar to how we evaluate body odor.  Some people can go a few days without taking shower and others have to take shower everyday and some twice daily.  This is based on how one perceives body odor and how sensitive he/she is about it.   Likewise, certain individuals are more sensitive and self-conscious about their bad breath than others.  There is no scale or […]

A Healthier mouth is a healthier attitude

Patients who seek voluntarily to correct dental disease such as cavities, gum disease or even misaligned and discolored teeth usually have a much higher self-confidence levels than patients who only go to the dentists out of necessity or pain associated with a tooth or a dental condition. A bright smile, a nicely aligned dentition and a fresher breath can significantly improve one’s personal confidence as well as social acceptance.

How to tell someone they have bad breath

We have all experienced a loved one, a friend or a co-worker having bad breath. The dilemma is how to tell these individuals about their condition without angering them, embarrassing them or making them defensive. Diplomacy is always a good strategy.  A hint of breath freshener could be a good start.  For example if in person, you can offer the individual a stick of gum or some mint and use that action as an excuse to open up discussion about the subject.  You can say that you have become more self-conscious about your breath as sometimes you felt you […]

Dental Phobia

It is commonly known that many do not like going to the dentist. One of the most common statements made to me by my patients is “Doc, I really don’t like going to the dentist”. There are numerous reasons why fear is a factor when going to the dentist. It can be a prior bad experience, especially as a child, stories heard from others regarding their experiences and most importantly, fear of the unknown. To compensate for any of these concerns, an important factor is to “show and tell” to patients what they can expect from […]

Oral Health & Self Confidence

Beautiful teeth are a sign of health and youth. It gives a person self confidence and a willingness to smile more often which reflects positively on first impressions. Just as bad breath is a nuisance and can affect ones self confidence, so do teeth that are yellow, malaligned and stained. This is not only true socially but generally goes hand-in-hand with oral health. Proper alignment and correctly contoured teeth not only look beautiful but can naturally contribute to less food and bacterial entrapment between teeth leading to lower number of cavities (which are caused by bacteria) […]
